How much does yacht event audio cost in Miami?+
Three published yacht packages, each with a 2-person crew on board (vetted Miami DJ + technician — mandatory): Sunset Cruise $2,150 (sub-40ft, 3h, 2–6 guests — 1× EVERSE 12 battery column + 4 H9 IP uplights + XDJ-AZ controller), Charter Party $3,250 (40–65ft, 4h, 6–20 guests — EVERSE 12 pair + 4 uplights + vertical fog jet pair at DJ booth + XDJ-AZ), Mega Yacht $5,400 (65–100ft+, 5h, 20–49 guests — JBL SRX835P concert mains + 8 uplights + vertical fog jets + 300W 3-in-1 moving heads + XDJ-AZ). Every package includes pre-event playlist curation, marine-grade cabling and IP54 connectors. Sound and lighting permits/permissions on Biscayne Bay are the client's responsibility. Charter boat is your separate booking — we don't operate vessels. Cold sparks available as individual add-on (captain approval required).
Do you need shore power on the yacht?+
No, not for the smaller tiers. Sunset Cruise (sub-40ft) runs entirely on a single EV EVERSE 12 battery column — 12-hour runtime, sealed-port salt-resistant, no shore power required. Charter Party (40-65ft) doubles up to an EVERSE 12 pair on battery. Mega Yacht (65-100ft+) switches to JBL SRX835P concert mains because those vessels have stable yacht power available. Battery PA always travels as backup regardless of vessel — open deck on Biscayne Bay is not where you want a single point of failure.
Can you do a sunset ceremony PA on a sailing yacht?+
Yes — this is exactly what the EVERSE 12 pair is built for. Sealed-port enclosures tolerate salt spray, the 12-hour battery handles the full ceremony + cocktail hour without ship-power dependency, and the rig stows below decks between segments. We've configured ceremonies on monohulls and catamarans where deck space is tight; cinderblock-and-strap stand bases instead of bolted mounts since the deck moves with chop.
What size yacht can you handle?+
We scale the rig to the vessel: sub-40ft / sunset cruises (2-6 guests) run on a single EVERSE 12 battery column + 4 H9 IP uplights + DJ on XDJ-AZ controller; 40-65ft yachts (6-20 guests) step up to an EVERSE 12 pair + 4 uplights + vertical fog jet pair at the DJ booth; 65-100ft+ inspected vessels (20-49 guests, USCG passenger limit applies) get JBL SRX835P concert mains + 8 uplights + vertical fog jets + 300W 3-in-1 moving heads. Every tier comes with a 2-person crew (DJ + technician) and pre-event playlist curation. Tell us your vessel and guest count and we'll confirm tier fit.
Do you provide the yacht too?+
No — Rondosound is a sound, lighting and DJ production company, not a charter operator. We bring all audio, lighting and DJ equipment aboard your chartered vessel. We work alongside most Miami charter operators (Aqua, Aristocrat, Tikki Beach, Charter One, Ocean Group and others). If you need a charter recommendation, ask — we don't take referral fees, just want you on a good boat.
Do you work past 11 PM on Biscayne Bay?+
Biscayne Bay vessel noise rules typically require music cutoff by 11 PM in most anchorage areas — USCG and Miami-Dade marine code. We design your timeline around this hard stop from booking, not as a surprise at the end of the night. Some coastal routes outside the bay (open ocean, intracoastal sections of Fort Lauderdale) may have different limits — we advise per your specific itinerary.
What about salt spray and rain?+
All marine-set gear is IP-rated or weatherproofed. Chauvet H9 IP uplights are rated for direct spray (not just splash); EVERSE 12 enclosures are sealed-port salt-resistant by design; cables use marine-grade XLR and Speakon connectors with corrosion-resistant tinned conductors. DJ controllers ride in hard-shell weatherproof cases during transit and set up under shade or canopy when available. Stands are ballasted or strapped — the deck moves and a tipped lighting stand on a yacht is a real safety call. Note: all sound and lighting permits/permissions for your charter are the client's responsibility, not ours.
Why hire Rondosound over a generic Miami DJ for a yacht event?+
We plan and run yacht events around the operational realities most DJ/AV vendors miss. We know the 11 PM Biscayne Bay cutoff before you mention it, we know which marinas (Bayside, Sea Isle, Dinner Key, Yacht Haven Grande, Miamarina) have power and ramp access, we know the no-generator-on-deck rule at most charter companies, and we know what salt does to gear that wasn't built for it. We defer to your captain on every safety call — that's table stakes. We carry battery PAs, IP-rated fixtures and salt-proof cabling so the rig holds up out on the water.
Do you do bachelor / bachelorette yacht charters and birthday boat parties?+
Yes — these are some of the most common bookings on the calendar. The 2-person crew (vetted Miami DJ + technician) is included by default, and the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ standalone runs without laptop dependency on a moving deck. We bring a karaoke kit (professional multilingual library) on request for bachelorette charters. Birthday yacht parties typically run Sunset Cruise (sub-40ft, 2-6 guests) or Charter Party (40-65ft, 6-20 guests). Larger private charter parties (20+ guests on inspected vessels) need Mega Yacht with the JBL SRX835P main rig.
Can yacht charter companies hire Rondosound as their AV partner?+
Yes. We work directly with Miami yacht charter companies as a reliable AV vendor — your guests get a real production rig instead of a Bluetooth speaker, and you get a single contact who handles load-in, COI, captain coordination and the night-of run. We coordinate dock timing, weight distribution and power requirements with your captain or first mate ahead of departure. For charter companies interested in a regular partnership, see /for-djs or contact us directly to set up a vendor relationship.
