What is Rondosound — a rental shop or a production company?+
Full-service production, not self-pickup. Every booking includes delivery, setup, sound check, on-site engineer and teardown. We own the gear — EV ETX/EKX, JBL SRX835P + EON 712, Shure BLX288 + Sennheiser EW-D wireless, Chauvet stage lighting, marine-rated rigs for yacht events. There's no warehouse pickup option — an 18" sub weighs 70–100 lbs and a wedding isn't the day to learn gain staging.
How quickly do you reply to inquiries?+
Under 60 minutes during business hours. Industry data shows 5-minute reply produces 9× the booking conversion of a same-day reply — we run intake as an SLA, not a hope. Weekend inquiries answered by Sunday evening. COI for your venue arrives within 24 hours of booking.
What areas do you serve?+
Miami-Dade is included free in every package — Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Aventura. Fort Lauderdale +$80 travel, West Palm Beach +$150. Naples / Tampa / Orlando / Florida Keys quoted per-job (we cover travel + overnight if needed). Destination events outside Florida — yes, we travel; quote covers shipping + crew time.
How far in advance should we book?+
Popular Saturdays book 6–12 months out (peak South Florida wedding demand — couples lock dates early for the best venues). Weekday or shoulder-season events: 2–3 months. Last-minute possible when the rig and crew are available — we keep two backup rigs in rotation specifically for short-notice. 30% deposit locks the date; balance due 14 days before event.
Do you provide a DJ, or just the gear?+
Both. The DJ + Sound + Lights package (from $3,500) brings everything plus our DJ for the night. The DJ-Only tier (from $1,800) suits venues with a house PA where you just want a person behind the deck. If you've already booked your own DJ, we run a B2B partner channel at /for-djs — flat rates where we deliver the rig, run sound, tear down, and you keep your DJ fee. Brand-protection clause included.
Do you handle Spanish-language events?+
Our production end is language-agnostic — the gear works equally in EN or ES. For the on-mic MC role we don't currently staff a dedicated bilingual MC; we recommend bringing your own bilingual MC or pairing with a Latin DJ who handles announcements (referrals on request). You can email us in Spanish or English — we reply in the same language.
Are you insured? Can you provide a COI to my venue?+
Yes — $1M general liability + inland marine (full equipment coverage). Most Miami venues — Fontainebleau, Faena, the Biltmore, Vizcaya, the Breakers — require a COI naming them as additional insured. We email it within 24 hours of booking, directly to your planner or venue contact. You don't need to purchase your own event insurance for our setup.
What if a hurricane or last-minute issue forces a reschedule?+
Standard hurricane clause: NOAA tropical-storm or hurricane warning active for Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach within 72 hours of your event → reschedule to any available date in the next 12 months at no charge. Equipment failures during the event: every booking ships with backup speakers + backup wireless mic + backup laptop in the truck.
