Biscayne Bay anchorage areas enforce a strict 11 PM music and amplification cutoff under USCG and Miami-Dade marine code. We plan your event timeline around this hard stop from booking, not as a surprise at the end of the night. Overtime extensions are not available once anchored in regulated bay zones — open ocean and certain coastal routes have different rules and we advise per your itinerary.

We do not operate or charter vessels — we bring production aboard your chartered boat. We require your charter company operates USCG-documented vessels with appropriate marine operator licenses and respect USCG passenger limits. The captain has final authority on every safety call (cold spark use, deck loading, departure timing) — we defer, no exceptions. COI is issued to both charter company and dock venue within 24 hours.

Yacht audio rental + production starts at $2,350 (Sunset tier production-only $1,950 + $400 marine premium). Mid-tier Horizon $3,650, premium Marquee $5,800. Add a vetted Miami DJ and the same tiers run $3,050 / $4,800 / $7,350. Includes marine-rated PA matched to your vessel size, salt-proof cabling, IP-rated lighting, on-site engineer, 90-min dock load-in and COI in 24h. Charter boat is separate — we don't operate vessels.
Do you need shore power on the yacht?
No. For sub-30ft vessels and any ceremony or cocktail-volume situation we deploy EV EVERSE 12 battery PAs (12-hour runtime, sealed-port salt-resistant design) so we can run the entire event on battery. On 30-60ft motor and sailing yachts where inverter or generator power is reliable, we add an EV ETX-15P or EKX-15P main system. On 60-100ft+ luxury yachts with full shore/yacht power we run JBL SRX835P mains plus the lighting rig. Battery PA always travels as backup regardless of vessel — open deck on Biscayne Bay is not where you want a single point of failure.
Can you do a sunset ceremony PA on a sailing yacht?
Yes — this is exactly what the EVERSE 12 pair is built for. Sealed-port enclosures tolerate salt spray, the 12-hour battery handles the full ceremony + cocktail hour without ship-power dependency, and the rig stows below decks between segments. We've configured ceremonies on monohulls and catamarans where deck space is tight; cinderblock-and-strap stand bases instead of bolted mounts since the deck moves with chop.
What size yacht can you handle?
We scale the rig to the vessel: sub-30ft / sunset cruises run on EVERSE 12 battery PA (cocktail volume, ceremony-grade); 30-60ft motor or sailing yachts get EV ETX-15P + ETX-18SP or EKX-15P + EKX-18S full reception PA covering 40-80 guests; 60-100ft+ luxury vessels get JBL SRX835P mains plus EKX or ETX as fills with the full lighting rig. Do you provide the yacht too?
No — Rondosound is a sound, lighting and DJ production company, not a charter operator. We bring all audio, lighting and DJ equipment aboard your chartered vessel. We work alongside most Miami charter operators (Aqua, Aristocrat, Tikki Beach, Charter One, Ocean Group and others). If you need a charter recommendation, ask — we don't take referral fees, just want you on a good boat.
Do you work past 11 PM on Biscayne Bay?
Biscayne Bay vessel noise rules typically require music cutoff by 11 PM in most anchorage areas — USCG and Miami-Dade marine code. We design your timeline around this hard stop from booking, not as a surprise at the end of the night. Some coastal routes outside the bay (open ocean, intracoastal sections of Fort Lauderdale) may have different limits — we advise per your specific itinerary.
What about salt spray and rain?
All marine-set gear is IP-rated or weatherproofed. Chauvet H9IP uplights are rated for direct spray (not just splash); EVERSE 12 enclosures are sealed-port salt-resistant by design; cables use marine-grade XLR and Speakon connectors with corrosion-resistant tinned conductors. DJ controllers ride in hard-shell weatherproof cases during transit and set up under shade or canopy when available. Stands are ballasted or strapped — the deck moves and a tipped lighting stand on a yacht is a real safety call.
