Note ·These three tiers cover most events — we publish prices because 78% of couples prioritize transparency. Tell us your venue, guest count and date and we'll quote your exact package. Everything is flexible: swap a tier 2 mic for a tier 3 mic, scale up or down, add hour-blocks — flat-rate per unit, no surprise fees. See the equipment guide →

On-site technician — full event coverage

By default, packages include delivery, setup, sound check and pickup — the technician leaves after setup. To keep our technician on-site for the entire event (running live levels, mic handoffs, cue calls, troubleshooting), add the attended-technician fee. Recommended for events with multiple transitions or 80+ guests.

+$400

Coverage · four segments

How we run a Miami wedding reception.

Segment 01 · ceremony tie-in

Ceremony tie-in

Reception tier doesn't include the ceremony rig — that's a separate battery PA built for outdoor / non-electrified spaces. See /wedding-ceremony for $800–$1,200 ceremony packages. Most clients book reception + ceremony together; we coordinate one production lead across both.

Segment 02 · cocktail hour

Cocktail hour

Ambient music at conversation level. The DJ transitions live from ceremony hand-off (or pre-event playlist) to cocktail without a gap — no silence between 'I do' and the first drink.

Segment 03 · reception

Reception

Dinner programming, toasts, first dance, cake cut — cued and timed. Wireless handheld for toasts, lavalier on request for a seated dinner address. Timeline built with you in advance.

Segment 04 · dance floor

Dance floor

DJ runs the floor, engineer runs the room — vetted Miami DJ named on the contract. Full PA + dance lighting on Tier 3, sound-only on Tier 2, controller-only when your venue has a house system.

Out-of-Miami · Florida destination weddings

Traveling beyond Miami?

Key West, Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, Naples — we travel with our owned rig (no local-market gear substitutions) and the same crew named on your contract. Pricing is the relevant reception or ceremony tier × 1.25 + travel for true destinations. Fort Lauderdale (+$80) and West Palm Beach (+$150) use standard pricing with a short-haul delivery surcharge — no destination uplift.

Travel pricing

  • +Florida Keys / Key West — flat $750 + hotel overnight for the crew
  • +West Palm Beach + Jupiter — flat +$150 delivery (no hotel)
  • +Orlando / Tampa / Naples / central Florida — quoted per-job
  • +Beyond 60 min from Miami — $2/mile each way
  • +True-destination uplift — base tier × 1.25 (covers extended planning + crew time)

Remote-Bride Kit (included)

  • +Video walkthrough of your venue, shot the week before
  • +Pre-event Zoom with your production lead and coordinator
  • +Shared live planning document for songs and timeline
  • +24/7 WhatsApp access on event day

Minimum 6 weeks for Keys and Palm Beach bookings. Key West high-season (December–April) books 3–6 months out. Hurricane named-storm clause in every contract — deposit transfers to a new date within 12 months, no penalty.

FAQ · Miami wedding DJ

Questions we get a lot.

How much does it cost to rent a wedding DJ in Miami?
Three published packages, all 5 hours: DJ Only $1,800 (when your venue has a house PA you can patch into), DJ + Sound $2,400 (most weddings — DJ brings the full rig), DJ + Sound + Lights $3,500 (full production with dance floor lighting + uplights + hazer). DJ named on every contract before signing. Overtime $175/hour. Popular Saturdays carry a +20% prime-date premium applied at booking.
What's the difference between DJ Only, DJ + Sound, and DJ + Sound + Lights?
DJ Only ($1,800) is for venues that already have a sound system you can patch into — Faena Forum, most major hotel ballrooms with house PA. The DJ brings their own gear and a Shure BLX288 wireless mic for toasts. DJ + Sound ($2,400) adds an EV EKX-15P powered PA pair + EKX-18SP powered sub pair — works in any venue with or without house PA. DJ + Sound + Lights ($3,500) upgrades to the ETX-12P + ETX-18SP premium pair and adds the full lighting rig: 8 LED par uplights on 2 Chauvet DJ Flex Stands, wash/beam moving head pair, 300W 3-in-1 spot/beam/wash pair (Galaxy Jet), hazer and wireless DMX programming.
Can I request a specific named DJ?
Our standard package assigns a vetted Miami DJ matched to your event style — named on the contract before signing. If you want a specific named artist (resident or guest), we quote that as a premium add-on with a date-first availability check.
Do I have to use your DJ?
No. We also offer audio-only and lighting-only rentals — see /audio-rental (from $800) and /lighting-rental (from $800) if you're bringing your own DJ. The /wedding-dj packages above are for clients who want our vetted Miami DJ included.
Do you provide ceremony audio separately?
Yes — that's a different rig (battery PA, weatherproof, set up at the aisle) and a different time block. We quote it on /wedding-ceremony — packages from $800 (single battery speaker, 2 wireless mics, engineer) to $1,200 (two speakers + cold spark recessional). Ceremony + reception bookings together usually combine into one production lead and one COI.
What about destination weddings outside Miami?
If your venue is in the Florida Keys, Palm Beach (luxury venues), Orlando, Tampa or central Florida, see the destination note below — same DJ + production tiers but priced as base × 1.25 + travel (Keys flat $750 + hotel; Palm Beach +$150 delivery; beyond is per-job quoted). Remote-Bride Kit included. Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach (standard venues) use this page's reception pricing with +$80 / +$150 delivery, no destination uplift.
How early does the DJ + crew arrive?
We load in 90–120 minutes before your event start time. Sound check is complete before guests arrive. The engineer coordinates load-in logistics with your venue directly — freight elevator, vendor parking, dock timing — so you never have to play go-between.
What's the overtime rate?
Overtime is $175/hour, billed in 30-minute increments. We confirm your decision to extend with you on the night — never an automatic charge. The rate is published; no surprises.
Will the DJ take requests from guests?
That's a conversation we have before the event. Default is yes, within your do-not-play list. If you want a tight playlist with no requests, we can do that too. Worth deciding before the event so the DJ has the right answer when Aunt Linda walks up at 9:45.
