Miami special effects · cold sparks · low fog · lasers · vertical fog jets

Special effects for
real moments.

Cold spark fountains, dry-ice low fog, ultrasonic low fog, vertical fog jets, basic laser effects and hazer — for cued moments at weddings, galas, corporate reveals and private events. We provide the equipment and a trained operator. Venue approval and any required permits are the client's responsibility. Effects attach as add-ons to any sound, lighting, wedding DJ, yacht or corporate booking.

What each effect does

The effects we have.

Effects are not standalone packages — they attach to your main booking (sound, lighting, wedding DJ, yacht, corporate). We provide the equipment + a trained operator for safe cueing. Venue approval is on you; we'll flag what your venue typically requires.

Cold spark fountains

Vertical fountains of cool sparks (~6-12 ft tall) for grand entrances, first dances, cake cuts, recessionals and stage reveals. Uses titanium granules, not gunpowder — no fire, no heat, no smoke, no residue. Indoor-safe at most venues with adequate ceiling clearance. Stunning on camera. Subject to venue approval; some heritage venues and yacht decks need additional sign-off.

Low fog — dry ice (Chauvet Nimbus)

Dense floor-hugging fog that creates the classic "dancing on a cloud" effect. Uses dry ice (frozen CO2) to produce heavy cold fog that stays at floor level instead of filling the room. Single high-impact moment effect — the dry ice runs out once used (typically 3-5 minutes of dense fog). Best for first dance, cake cut, recessional or branded reveal.

Low fog — ultrasonic

Same beautiful floor-hugging fog effect, but powered by an ultrasonic atomization machine instead of dry ice. Runs continuously for hours, so suitable for photo sessions, video shoots, multi-moment events or sustained ambient atmosphere. Operator on cue.

Vertical fog jets (DJ booth mount)

Upward-firing fog cannons mounted next to the DJ booth — shoot a clean fog column ~3 meters straight up on peak-moment cues. Visual punctuation for dance set drops, beat reveals or first-dance opens. Standard on yacht Charter Party and Mega tiers; available as add-on for club-style and corporate events.

Basic laser effects

Basic laser projectors for dance-peak cues and aerial textures over the dance floor — beams, patterns, color sweeps. Operated by an effects tech on cue. Not a concert-grade laser show. Subject to venue approval; outdoor / yacht use requires additional captain or venue sign-off.

Hazer (Chauvet Pro Amhaze ECO)

Professional water-based haze machine. Not a fog effect — fills the venue with fine even atmospheric haze that makes light beams visible. Cinematic depth for ceremonies, receptions and corporate brand activations. Standard accessory for any lighting setup with moving heads or beam fixtures.

FAQ · special effects Miami

Questions before we fire anything.

Are cold sparks safe indoors?
Yes — they use titanium granules instead of gunpowder. No fire, no heat (cool to the touch within inches of the device), no smoke, no residue. Indoor-safe at most venues with adequate ceiling clearance (~10+ ft). Venue approval is still required; some heritage venues (Vizcaya, Biltmore historic rooms) restrict any effects.
Who handles venue permits and approvals?
The client handles venue approval and any required permits. We provide the equipment and a trained operator for the effects, but we do not pull permits or negotiate with the venue's fire marshal on your behalf. Send the venue name when you reach out and we'll flag what the venue typically requires.
Are you licensed pyrotechnicians?
We are not. We provide cold spark fountains, fog machines and basic laser effects — none of these require a pyrotechnician license in Florida (cold sparks use titanium granules, not pyrotechnic compositions). Real pyrotechnics (concert flame columns, aerial fireworks, mortar effects) are a different category and not within our scope.
How is special effects rental priced?
Effects are added to your sound, lighting, wedding DJ, yacht or corporate booking — pricing depends on which effects, how many cued moments and the venue. There's no standalone effects price list. Send the booking details + which effects you want, and we'll quote with the rest of the production.
Can I add effects to a DJ or lighting package?
Yes. Cold sparks, low fog, lasers and vertical fog jets all attach as add-ons to any of our service tiers (wedding DJ, lighting, yacht, corporate, ceremony). Some packages already include specific effects (e.g. Yacht Mega includes vertical fog jets; Ceremony Cold Spark Recessional includes 2 cold spark fountains).
Are effects allowed at every Miami venue?
No. Heritage venues (Vizcaya, Biltmore historic), some hotel ballrooms with strict fire codes, and certain outdoor public-space permits restrict haze, fog, sparks or lasers. Send the venue name early and we'll confirm what is realistic before you commit.
