Are cold sparks safe indoors?+
Yes — they use titanium granules instead of gunpowder. No fire, no heat (cool to the touch within inches of the device), no smoke, no residue. Indoor-safe at most venues with adequate ceiling clearance (~10+ ft). Venue approval is still required; some heritage venues (Vizcaya, Biltmore historic rooms) restrict any effects.
Who handles venue permits and approvals?+
The client handles venue approval and any required permits. We provide the equipment and a trained operator for the effects, but we do not pull permits or negotiate with the venue's fire marshal on your behalf. Send the venue name when you reach out and we'll flag what the venue typically requires.
Are you licensed pyrotechnicians?+
We are not. We provide cold spark fountains, fog machines and basic laser effects — none of these require a pyrotechnician license in Florida (cold sparks use titanium granules, not pyrotechnic compositions). Real pyrotechnics (concert flame columns, aerial fireworks, mortar effects) are a different category and not within our scope.
How is special effects rental priced?+
Effects are added to your sound, lighting, wedding DJ, yacht or corporate booking — pricing depends on which effects, how many cued moments and the venue. There's no standalone effects price list. Send the booking details + which effects you want, and we'll quote with the rest of the production.
Can I add effects to a DJ or lighting package?+
Yes. Cold sparks, low fog, lasers and vertical fog jets all attach as add-ons to any of our service tiers (wedding DJ, lighting, yacht, corporate, ceremony). Some packages already include specific effects (e.g. Yacht Mega includes vertical fog jets; Ceremony Cold Spark Recessional includes 2 cold spark fountains).
Are effects allowed at every Miami venue?+
No. Heritage venues (Vizcaya, Biltmore historic), some hotel ballrooms with strict fire codes, and certain outdoor public-space permits restrict haze, fog, sparks or lasers. Send the venue name early and we'll confirm what is realistic before you commit.
