Event lighting is the continuous atmosphere — uplights washing the room color, moving heads animating the dance floor, hazer making the beams visible. It runs the full event. Special effects are cued moments — a cold spark on the grand entrance, low fog dropping for the first dance, a laser sweep at the dance-set peak. They run for seconds at a time, designed to land specific emotional peaks. Most weddings book at least the lighting; special effects are added for the moments you want to remember.

Yes — they're separate services with separate pricing. Most clients start with lighting alone (an $800 Dynamic Setup covers a typical ballroom). Special effects get added when there's a specific moment to anchor — a recessional, a first dance, a brand reveal. We also do effects-only bookings for events where the venue already has lighting (corporate galas at hotels, for example).

Base scope on every lighting package is delivery, setup, programming and teardown — scenes are pre-programmed to your reception timeline (cocktail / dinner / dance) and the rig executes them automatically. Full-event live operation with a tech behind the console runs as an optional +$400 attended-technician add-on (recommended on Full Production and on any event with live performances, surprise reveals or multi-act programs). For special effects (cold sparks, low fog) we always have a dedicated tech on the firing console — that's bundled into the effect's own per-event price.

Lighting: Chauvet H9 IP wireless uplights (RGBW, IP-rated for outdoor / yacht), three classes of moving heads (wash/beam pair 19×15W, 150W beam pair, 300W 3-in-1 spot/beam/wash pair Galaxy Jet style), Chauvet Pro Amhaze ECO hazer, Follow Spot 350W. Effects: cold spark fountains (indoor-safe, no heat), Chauvet Nimbus dry-ice low fog, ultrasonic low fog, basic laser effects for dance peaks. See /equipment for the full visual showcase.

Yes for most indoor venues — cold sparks emit no heat, no smoke, no spark falling outside their 6-12ft column. Always subject to venue approval (some heritage venues like Vizcaya restrict any effects). On yachts, deck use requires captain approval — we coordinate with marina ahead of the charter. We never fire without venue + safety sign-off.

Yes. Our LED uplights are programmable RGBW — send your brand Pantone or hex code and we dial it in during setup. Standard on corporate brand activations; optional add-on on weddings and other events.
