How much to rent a PA + lighting rig for a Miami DJ gig?
Flat partner rates: Solo $1,200 (single PA pair + 4 uplights, up to 80 guests), Standard $1,800 (sub config + 8 uplights + moving heads, up to 150), Premium $2,800 (full production stack + 12 uplights + cold sparks, 200+). Why partner with Rondosound instead of buying my own gear?
If you're working under 30 events a year, owning a full PA + lighting + transport stack rarely pencils out. Renting from us costs $1,200–$2,800 per gig — your gear cost is amortized only against the gigs you book. We carry the inventory, the insurance, the COI, the truck, and the crew. You bring the music and the relationship.
Will you compete with me for clients?
No. Our partner contract includes a brand-protection clause — we don't pitch your clients on our own DJ services. You stay the named DJ on every contract you brought in. We're production, not performance, when we work with you.
What's actually included in each tier?
All three tiers cover delivery, setup, sound check, on-site engineer through your full event, and full teardown. The differences are gear scale: Solo gig is a single PA pair + 4 uplights for up to 80 guests; Standard adds a sub configuration + 8 uplights + moving heads for up to 150; Premium is a full production stack + 12 uplights + cold sparks for 200+.
How fast can you turn around a COI?
Within 24 hours of signed contract — your venue named as additional insured. Required at Faena, Fontainebleau, Breakers, Biltmore, Vizcaya and most Miami luxury venues. We carry $1M general liability + inland marine.
Do you support DJ-led corporate gigs?
Yes — corporate brand activations, conferences and galas are a strong fit for the production-partner model. We bring the full technical stack and you handle the music and MC. Weekday Mon-Thu corporate bookings get the calendar-fill discount.
What's your weekly availability?
Six days a week year-round — equipment available 7 days/week with proper notice. Saturdays book first; we typically run 1-2 simultaneous events on peak Saturdays so DJ-partner gigs that book early get priority.
What about overtime, weekday gigs, holiday bookings?
Overtime is $175/hour beyond contracted coverage. Weekday Monday-Thursday: -15% off flat rates. NYE, Valentine's weekend, Memorial Day weekend: +35%. Travel beyond 60 minutes from Miami: $2/mile each way.
Can I bring my own DJ booth or controller?
Absolutely — we mic into your console. We have AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ and Pioneer DDJ-800 if you want to fly in clean and use ours. The PA, monitors, lighting, mics, FX and tech-run are ours either way.
