How much does it cost to rent a wedding DJ + production for a Florida destination wedding?+
Destination weddings are priced as the wedding-reception tier × 1.25 + travel. Example: DJ + Sound + Lights ($3,500) for a Key West event = $4,375 + $750 Keys flat travel + hotel overnight ≈ $5,200–$5,500. DJ + Sound ($2,400) for the Keys ≈ $3,000 + $750 + hotel. Includes our full owned rig (no local rental gear), Remote-Bride Kit, and on-site crew through the event.
Can you travel to the Keys?+
Yes. Key West and the Lower Keys are our most-requested destination. Flat travel fee: $750 + hotel overnight for the production crew. All-in Key West productions typically run $3,000–$5,500 depending on tier, DJ choice and guest count (reception base × 1.25 + travel). We've done sunset ceremonies at Smathers Beach and private estate receptions on Stock Island.
Do you charge travel for Palm Beach?+
West Palm Beach and Jupiter are +$150 delivery surcharge (approximately 1h15m from our Miami base). No hotel required for a day-trip. Overnight setups for 2-day events carry a hotel add-on quoted at booking. The Breakers, Eau Palm Beach and similar luxury venues may require custom production proposals — contact us for a quote.
Do I get the same production team remotely as in person?+
Yes. The production lead and crew named on your contract are the ones who show up. No subcontractor handoff, no agency swap to a regional vendor we've never met. For destination events your lead is locked at signing. The Remote-Bride Kit is designed specifically so you can review the setup plan and communicate directly with the team before the event.
What's a Remote-Bride Kit?+
It's our planning package for couples who can't visit the venue before the event. Includes: a video walkthrough of your venue's setup (shot the week before), a pre-event Zoom with your production lead and coordinator, a shared live planning document for song requests and timeline, and 24/7 WhatsApp access the day of the event. Standard on all destination bookings.
Are you planner-friendly?+
Yes — we work with destination wedding planners regularly. We send our gear list, COI and stage plot in advance, integrate into the planner's run-of-show, and coordinate load-in and strike through them. We don't try to upsell the couple behind a planner's back. If you have a Caribbean or South-American music brief, our library is a good fit.
What happens if there's a hurricane?+
Every contract includes a named-storm clause: if NHC issues a tropical storm or hurricane watch for your date and location, your deposit transfers to a rescheduled date within 12 months with no penalty. For destination events we also advise on event-cancellation insurance for non-weather force majeure (venue closure, vendor issues). Ask us about our recommended policy at booking.
How much notice do you need for a destination booking?+
Minimum 6 weeks for Keys and Palm Beach events. Key West high-season dates (December–April) book 3–6 months out. The 2-week planning lock (Zoom + planning doc finalized) should be complete before your event, with gear QC and travel logistics confirmed in the week prior.
