Miami-Dade's 2026 noise-compliance framework establishes a 25-foot setback requirement for amplified sound sources near property lines, hotel structures, and designated quiet zones on public beaches. For beach weddings this means speaker and subwoofer placement must be carefully mapped before the event — not improvised on the day.

Every Rondosound beach setup includes a calibrated SPL meter operated throughout the event. This both improves sound quality for your guests and demonstrates good-faith compliance to any officer who checks. Where can I rent a battery PA for a beach ceremony in Miami?

Rondosound is a full-service Miami beach audio rental option — we deliver, set up, sound-check, run sound and tear down. Our beach battery PA fleet is two pairs of EV EVERSE 12s plus JBL EON 712 column array — 12-hour runtime, no generator needed. We don't offer self-pickup rental. Every booking includes wind-proof weighted stands, cardioid sub DSP, calibrated SPL meter and a sound engineer through your full ceremony. Pricing: production base ($1,950 / $3,250 / $5,400) + $300 beach surcharge.

Do I need a permit for a beach ceremony in Miami?

Yes, in most cases. Miami Beach requires permits for amplified sound in hotel-front beach areas. Public beaches in Miami-Dade (including Haulover, Crandon, Key Biscayne) require park event permits for amplified music. Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale beaches operate under Broward County rules — slightly more flexible. We provide permit advisory at every beach booking — we help you understand what's needed and who to contact. We do not pull permits on your behalf, but we know exactly what the local requirements look like.

What's the 25ft rule?

In practice this affects where we place speakers and subwoofers. We use a calibrated SPL meter on every beach setup and can demonstrate compliance on request.

How do you handle wind on the beach?

Wind is the #1 enemy of beach audio. We use weighted speaker stands that won't tip in a 20-knot breeze, windscreen foam on all wireless mics, and cardioid subwoofer DSP to throw sound forward rather than sideways (which also helps with neighbor noise compliance). We do a wind-direction check at setup and adjust speaker aim accordingly.

Is there a no-amplification hour?

Some Miami Beach hotel properties and condo associations enforce quiet hours starting at 10 PM. Public beaches in Miami-Dade County generally require event shutdown by sunset on weekdays and 10 PM on weekends. We build your timeline around these constraints — not around them.

How do you protect gear from sand?

Speaker stands have rubberized sand-feet that distribute weight and resist sinking. DJ equipment is kept on a raised folding table with cable runs covered in sand-proof sleeves. Wireless receivers are kept in a shade tent. We do a full gear inspection and wipe-down after every beach event. All gear is sand-tested and sand-cleared before the next booking.

Can you play past sunset?

This depends on your specific beach zone and permit. Miami Beach hotel-front areas typically require amplified music to end at or before 10 PM. Key Biscayne and Haulover public beach areas are usually limited to sunset or shortly after. Fort Lauderdale Beach has slightly more relaxed ordinances. We advise per your specific location at booking.

Can we do ceremony + reception + dancing on the beach?

Yes — this is our standard beach wedding flow. We use a mobile gear setup that moves in three stages: ceremony (wireless PA, officiant mic, music), cocktail hour (ambient music from a second speaker position), and reception/dancing (full PA repositioned for the dance floor). Everything rolls on equipment carts. No generator needed.
