How much does it cost to rent speakers in Miami?+
Our audio packages run $800 (Essential, up to 40 guests, 4h) to $2,150 (Large Event, 120–300 guests, 6h). The mid-tier Reception with Dancing at $1,400 covers most weddings (40–120 guests, 5h, with subwoofers). Every package includes delivery, setup, sound check, on-site engineer for setup/teardown, and pickup. Need the engineer for the full event? Add $300 (attended technician).
What size speakers do I need for my guest count?+
Up to 40 guests: a pair of EV EKX-15P (15" powered tops) handles speech, ceremony music and a moderate dance set. 40–120 guests with dancing: same tops + a pair of EKX-18SP subwoofers — the bass that drives a dance floor lives below 80Hz and only comes from 18" subs. 120–300 guests: 3-way mains (JBL SRX835P), fill speakers (JBL EON 712 for even coverage front-to-back), and a 4-sub stack. Always tell us venue size + ceiling height + indoor/outdoor when you reach out — that's what actually shapes the rig.
Do I need a subwoofer for a wedding reception?+
If there's a dance set, yes. A pair of 15" speakers can move a room conversationally, but the 35–80Hz range that drives a dance floor only comes from an 18" subwoofer. Ceremony-only or dinner-only events skip the subwoofer. Receptions with dancing don't.
Why does the Large Event package mix ETX and EKX subwoofers?+
Because pairing a premium sub (EV ETX-18SP) with a workhorse sub (EV EKX-18SP) gives more bandwidth coverage and more SPL ceiling than four identical units. The ETX subs hit deeper and cleaner, the EKX subs handle the high-output sustained pressure without clipping. In a 200+ guest room with dancing, that combination delivers tighter low-end definition under load — which is what you actually feel on a packed floor. It's a deliberate engineering choice, not a compromise.
Do you deliver and set up, or do I pick up?+
We deliver, set up, sound-check and pick up. Free within Miami-Dade. Fort Lauderdale adds $80, West Palm Beach adds $150, Naples / Tampa / Orlando / Keys quoted on request. We don't offer self-pickup — an 18" sub weighs 70–100 lbs, the rig needs gain staging, and a wedding isn't the day to learn it.
Where do I rent audio for a Miami wedding?+
Rondosound is your full-service Miami audio rental option — we deliver, set up, run sound, and tear down. We do not offer self-pickup. Every booking includes our crew on-site for delivery, setup, sound check, and teardown. The on-site engineer can stay through the full event for an additional $300 (attended technician) — recommended for events over 80 guests with multiple ceremony / cocktail / reception transitions.
I'm a working DJ — can you provide just the rig for my gig?+
Yes. We run a B2B partner channel for Miami DJs at /for-djs — flat rates where we deliver, set up, run sound, tear down, and you keep your DJ fee. Brand-protection clause included: we don't perform on your gigs, we don't poach your clients.
What happens if gear fails during the event?+
Every production includes an on-site engineer with a backup rig in the truck. Gear failures are rare with properly maintained professional equipment — we test every unit before delivery and the engineer can swap a failed top in under 5 minutes. That's the value of full-service production over self-pickup.
Is event insurance required?+
We carry $1M general liability + inland marine (equipment coverage). Many venues — especially hotels and parks — require a COI naming them as additional insured. We generate this in under 24 hours, included with every booking. You do not need your own insurance.
