Origin story · 10 years of sound

From Minnesota to Miami.

We started a decade ago as a professional sound and event production operation. Over 100+ five-star reviews and a wide range of events — weddings, corporate galas, private parties, rooftop receptions — we built a straightforward reputation: owned professional gear, flat prices published, replies under an hour. No subcontracted equipment, no day-of surprises, no bait-and-switch.

Rondosound is built from the ground up for South Florida: a Caribbean and South-American music library (Cuban son, salsa, merengue, bachata, joropo, vallenato, reggaeton), marine-rated gear for Biscayne Bay charters, Chauvet H9IP weatherproof uplights for outdoor garden events, and a hurricane contingency clause in every contract. Same operating discipline. Built for Miami.

“We bring everything, you bring the people.” Most nights, you won't see the production team. That's the point. We rig the room, run the show, and disappear into the wings. The producer and engineer do the work; the DJ owns the floor.

Step 01

Send the ask

Date, venue, rough guest count. Voice note, WhatsApp, email or form — whatever is fastest for you.

Step 02

Reply under an hour

You get a production lead, a gear list, and a flat price. No quote-gating, no 48-hour wait.

Step 03

Lock with contract + COI

Deposit + contract. DJ named on contract before signing if your tier includes one. Certificate of insurance to your venue within 24 hours.

Step 04

Night of

We load in, set up, sound-check, run the show, strike cleanly. You dance. Nobody asks you about cables.

Why a separate brand.

Our Minnesota operation is Minnesota-built: its name, positioning, and reputation are specific to the Twin Cities market. Bringing that brand to South Florida would be like shipping a Minneapolis menu to Little Havana — technically possible, contextually wrong.

Rondosound is Florida-positioned from day one: a Caribbean and South-American music library built for Miami's Cuban, Venezuelan, Colombian and Dominican audiences; Biscayne Bay marine compliance built in; production-tier pricing calibrated to South Florida peak; and a brand voice that fits winter-wedding, yacht-charter, and destination-event clients. Same discipline. Different market. Separate brand.

Questions we get a lot.

Are you a rental company or a production company?
Both — and the distinction matters. We rent audio, lighting and DJ services to clients across Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, but every rental is full-service production: we deliver, set up, run sound and lighting on-site, and tear down. We do not offer self-pickup gear rental — but you don't lift a cable. The rental tier (Production-Only $1,950 / $3,250 / $5,400) is built for clients who bring their own DJ. The DJ tiers add our DJ (vetted Miami) on top.
Are you a local Miami company?
Yes — our team is on the ground in Miami-Dade from first inquiry through load-out. The business is registered in Florida and carries a Miami-area phone number and email. We work events across South Florida year-round.
Who runs the events?
Behind every Rondosound event is a small crew: an on-site producer, a sound engineer, and (when you book it) a vetted Miami DJ. The producer and engineer do the technical work; the DJ owns the floor. Most nights you won't see the production team. That's the point.
Do you own or rent the gear?
We own our entire inventory: EV ETX-15P / EKX-15P / JBL SRX835P speakers, EV ETX-18SP / EKX-18S subs, EV EVERSE 12 + JBL EON 712 battery PA, AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ controller, Shure and Sennheiser wireless systems, Chauvet H9IP weatherproof uplights, wash + beam moving heads, and an LED facade. No subcontracted gear, no last-minute swaps.
What's your minimum booking?
Our entry-level Production-Only Tier 1 starts at $1,950 for 4 hours — sound, lighting, crew. Production + a vetted DJ starts at $2,650; Production + DJ Premium starts by quote. Production-only is built for clients who bring their own DJ or are running a corporate / ceremony-only event.
Do you travel outside Miami?
Yes. Fort Lauderdale is within standard radius (no travel fee). West Palm Beach adds $150 delivery. The Florida Keys are a flat $750 destination rate plus hotel if overnight is required. Beyond 60 miles from Miami: $2 per mile each way.
What's your hurricane policy?
Every contract includes a named-storm clause: if the National Hurricane Center issues a tropical storm watch for your date and venue area, your deposit transfers penalty-free to any new date within 12 months. Event-cancellation insurance is available on request for non-weather situations.
